Produced by Jay Garfield. Album The True Meaning. Built For This Lyrics. It's time to separate the rookies from vets Pussies from threats, truth and lies Supplies from dealers and death I'm feeling this, I'm young and ruthless Status unmatched undisputed, some assuming My destiny to rep these streets I'm built for this The will is too strong Feelings numb from dealing too long It's real count ya friends when. Built For This" Track Info. Written By Cory McKay. Release Date June 11, 2002. The True Meaning Cormega.

Cory McKay (born April 26, 1970), better known by his stage name Cormega, is an American rapper and songwriter. His first musical debut was sparked by a shout-out from Nas on his song "One Love", from the critically acclaimed Illmatic album during Cormega's time in prison. Cormega was born in Brooklyn and raised in New York City, forming childhood friendships with future rappers such as Nas, Havoc and Capone.

The True Meaning picks up where Cormega's stellar debut, The Realness (2001), left off, showcasing earnest, heartfelt, and sometimes sharp-edged rhymes over gritty street-level beats. Love in Love Out" - where Cormega answers Nas' "Destroy & Rebuild" over a crackling sample of the beat from Isaac Hayes' "Your Love Is So Doggone Good" - is sure to garner a lot of attention, but there's plenty more to The True Meaning than that one song  . The True Meaning is an impressive album on many counts and is sure to please hip-hop purists as well as anyone who enjoys well-crafted, intelligent New York rap. Track Listing.

The True Meaning is the second studio album by Queensbridge rapper Cormega. It was critically acclaimed and won the prestigious "Independent Album of the Year" at the Source Awards 2003. He also received "Impact Artist of the Year" honors at the Underground Music Awards. It was praised for its "back to basics" formula, tight beats and fierce rhymes. Standout tracks include "Live Ya Life", "Love In Love Out" which documents Cormega's beef with fellow Queensbridge rapper Nas, and "Verbal Graffiti". Built For This Producer: J. The True Meaning" is quite consistent, a really great album. I think it is embarrassingly underrated, this album is at least as good as "Stillmatic" and yet very few people know about it. I highly recommend it to fans of this type of grimy, lyrical rap, because it really shines. the time . he Legacy-This is pretty tight 10/10 . ove in Love Out-why does he have to diss Nas and Likewise 7 . he Come up-It is probally his life he had a rough one 9/10 1. uilt for this-This one is pretty tight all the way 10/10 1. oul Food-This one is pretty. tight sounds good 10/10 1. ake these jewels-This is pretty good all the way.
