This set is the official soundtrack album to the 2009 Mexican jukebox musical Mentiras, written and directed by Jose Manuel Lopez Verde and based around songs popular in the 1980s. The disc provides the musical backdrop to a Big Chill-type story of four women at a funeral who discover that they each had a romantic connection with the deceased.
