Pray for the Wicked is the sixth studio album by American rock band Panic! at the Disco. The album was released on June 22, 2018 on Fueled by Ramen and DCD2. It is the follow-up to the band's fifth studio album, Death of a Bachelor (2016). The album was produced by Jake Sinclair and promoted by the singles "Say Amen (Saturday Night)", "High Hopes" and "Hey Look Ma, I Made It", with "(Fuck A) Silver Lining", "Dancing's Not a Crime" and "King of the Clouds" released as promotional singles.
The record sounds good, nice and crisp. A little sibilance at the end of side A (and maybe side B, but the end there is mostly instrumental). I have one problem though and I don't know if it's my record player of the record itself, but the lead-in groove gets skipped on both side A and side B. Other having this problem too? I pray, but not to any one specifically. More to myself, pleading to stay positive and loving and open-minded. This eleven-track album comes just over two years after the release of Death Of A Bachelor, which was the band’s first project to hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. A new era of Panic! At The Disco has begun. It's been announced that the brand new album, Pray For The Wicked, will be released on June 22 and we've already been blessed with two brand new songs, 'Say Amen (Saturday Night)' and '(Fuck A) Silver Lining. The video for 'Say Amen' was also released alongside the song - and there's a massive 'This Is Gospel' shaped easter-egg thrown in at the end for good measure.
Panic! at the Disco is back with new music! The band - fronted by singer Brendon Urie - just dropped their new album Pray for the Wicked. Pray for the Wicked is the sixth studio album for the band after their 2016 album Death of a Bachelor. Panic! at the Disco will be hitting the road for their Pray for the Wicked Tour in early 2019. However, after the departure of a high amount of members and resulting in Brendon Urie effectively becoming Panic! at the Disco, a very clear new sound was emerging, seeds of which were sown into Bachelor. I feel this has now cultivated in Pray For The Wicked, Panic!'s sixth album that almost completely abandons Panic!'s roots and essentially makes a Brendon Urie pop album. I don't necessarily think that this is a bad thing - pop albums can be good, given it has a heart. However, I just don't feel there's a whole lot of heart to any aspect of Pray For The Wicked
