Формируйте собственную коллекцию записей Mott The Hoople. The whole album seems a response to everything that came before. It certainly has moments that return to the menace and reflection that made moments from previous albums so memorable. While Hunter was always an integral part of this band, this set more than the others appears to show Ian at the helm, Hunter producing the album with the band, arranging the music himself, and writing the bulk of the material

This April, Mott The Hoople ’74 will tour the . for the first time in 45 years. The tour, featuring core ‘74 members Ian Hunter, Ariel Bender and Morgan Fisher, celebrates the 45th anniversary of their famous 1974 . In 1974, the last time Mott The Hoople performed in the . they played theatres and arenas across the country in support of The Hoople, an album that features Mott classics like The Golden Age of Rock n’ Roll and Roll Away The Stone, both Top 20 hits in the UK. The groundbreaking band, with Top 15 UK singles All the Way From Memphis and Honaloochie Boogie and whose big US hit was the Bowie-penned All the Young Dudes, became the first rock group to play on Broadway in NYC, with a sold-out week at Uris Theatre.

The release of the album in its original form in 1974 coincided with the announcement of the band's demise and it was, therefore, their final release

By 1974's 'The Hoople,' the band was beginning to fall apart. Guitarist Mick Ralphs was gone, and Mott's shifting personnel pretty much left Hunter in control of the group. But they managed to pull it together for their final album, their toughest-sounding LP and in some ways their most ambitious. Crash Street Kidds' is noisy excess, but it's totally glorious noisy excess. 6. 'Hymn for the Dudes'.

Talk about Mott The Hoople - The Hoople

MOQ
While one might expect Mick Ralph's contributions to be missed quite a lot (after he split for Bad Company), Ariel Bender (Spooky Tooth) seems to have little trouble filling the position (at least for now)...pretty consistent set, noteworthy at the very least, classic in some reviewers' opinions, likely the last essential offering for fans.
