Caroline Trettine spent the early years of her life in Nigeria. She began composing songs seriously while still at school. Moving to Bristol to study English, she joined a folk-rock band and was discovered by Gerard Langley, who invited her to join the 'Blue Aeroplanes'. She sang and played guitar with Gerard, Nick Jacobs, John Langley (Strangelove), Angelo Bruschini (Massive Attack) and Dave Chapman, in a series of poetry-art-rock performances.

Light Years is an album by the Chick Corea Elektric Band. It features Chick Corea with guitarist Frank Gambale, saxophonist Eric Marienthal, bassist John Patitucci, and drummer Dave Weckl. The album received the 1988 Grammy Award for the Best R&B Instrumental Performance (orchestra, group or soloist). The album was released by GRP Records.

Caroline began her career as singer, writer and rhythm guitarist for the Blue Aeroplanes. Going solo she was discovered by Billy Bragg and toured with him and Christy Moore with a CD out on Utility Records. She experimented with hip-hop, making a dance version of Baudelaire’s ‘Le Voyage’, followed by an album of poetry and songs – ‘Ten Light Years’. She writes and sings for the band The Winnebago Orchestra with Spencer Roberts. In recent years, she has written chamber musicals, a string quartet, beat songs, satire and sonnets. Like Denny, Trettine hovers over great melancholy with an almost detached air that only cuts closer to the quick‘ Q Magazine. Caroline has pursued one of the most interesting and engaging of paths in music with a vision that is as eclectic as it is heartfelt, you would do well to follow he. Doug Darcy.

Caroline Aparecida Trentini (born July 6, 1987) is a Brazilian supermodel. Trentini was born in Panambi, Brazil. Trentini is the youngest daughter of Lourdes and Jacó Trentini, who died when she was one year old. Her older sisters are Franciele and Elen. Although having never worked before, Lourdes got a job as a public employee when Jacó died and raised her daughters single-handedly.

Caroline Trettine sang and played guitar with the The Blue Aeroplanes who comprised at that time: Gerard Langley, Nick Jacobs (Exploding Seagulls), John Langley (Strangelove), Angelo Bruschini (Massive Attack) and David Chapman. She then left the Aeroplanes to pursue a solo career in London. Securing a contract with Billy Bragg and Pete Jenner's Utility label, she recorded the Be A Devil album in 1990 at the Cathouse studios of Grant Showbiz (producer of Billy Bragg, The Smiths and The Fall). In the intervening years Trettine continued to record material, experimenting with different styles and working with a range of collaborators. Though an acoustic artist, she worked closely with hip hop in the early 1990s. In 2001, she released her second album, Ten Light Years. It was recorded and produced by Richard Bell (The Blue Aeroplanes) at the label Evensong's studio.
