Paintin' the Town Brown was the first live album by American rock band Ween, released by Elektra Records on June 22, 1999. Paintin' the Town Brown serves as a live retrospective for the group, a 2-CD set containing songs from Ween's very first live shows (which were simply Dean, Gene, and a DAT deck) to Ween's tour in support of The Mollusk (though no songs from that particular album are featured).

Ween was an American experimental rock band. They formed in 1984 in New Hope, Pennsylvania when central members Aaron Freeman (Gene Ween) and Mickey Melchiondo (Dean Ween) met in an eighth grade typing class.

Notes

Very rare tape cassette release and only a few have been sold on the internet. Noticeable differences between the CD release and the cassette release are the lack of booklet, the removal of certain photos and a rearranged collage, and a Digalog logo added for tape manufacturing.
