Century Schizoid Band repertoire. The same must be said of Progress which is the only song in the set that I had not heard before. It is taken from Michael Giles solo album of the same name which was recorded around 1978 but was not released until 2002. Overall, this is a great live concert recording. The 21st Century Schizoid Band is much truer to King Crimson's original sound and spirit and they carry on the flame and preserve the great legacy of that band better than anyone else.

Live album by 21st Century Schizoid Band. November 6, 2002 at Shinjuku Kouseinenkin Hall, Tokyo, Japan. It became "Pictures of a City", which appeared on the second King Crimson studio album In the Wake of Poseidon. Live performances of the piece by King Crimson in 1969 were released in 1997, on the compilation Epitaph, and in 2004, on Live at Fillmore East. The Court of the Crimson King, I Talk to the Wind, Epitaph, and 21st Century Schizoid Man originally appeared on "In the Court of the Crimson King". Cat Food originally appeared on "In the Wake of Poseidon"

The first is the NTSC encoding problem. The live version simply ends after the 4th verse. The concert rendition is about 7 minutes of the total . minute song. The very instrumental reprise that defines this song is absent.

A (new if you like!) alternative take on King Crimson ! Did you ever think you would see Giles,Giles,McDonald,Collins on stage performing these classic songs.Ably assisted by Jakko Jakszyk in a Robert Fripp type role, although with more vocal contribution! A must for any Crimson head !! The DVD has some bonus extras from the bands shows at Canterbury Fayre and Londons Queen Elizabeth Hall plus individual band member interviews, making this a superb purchase!!
