Asian Dub Foundation (ADF) is an English electronica band that combines musical styles including rapcore, dub, dancehall, ragga, and South Asian music. The group also includes traditional rock instruments such as electric bass and guitar, which acknowledges a punk rock influence. Their music is known for its dub-inspired basslines, guitar parts inspired by the traditional Indian instrument the sitar, and fast rapping.

On Punkara, the group still sounds like a bunch of rebels who are here to bring down the musical conventions of the Western world and then proceed to a full-scale revolution, but they also follow the conventions they've established themselves - off-beat reggae rhythms are fused with almost jungle-like electronic beats, punkish guitars are buried under Middle Eastern.
