While "Separation" was certainly a decent album, "Self Harvest" certainly comes out on top of Ark Of The Covenant's discography. Though it doesn't reach masterpiece levels, it still contains so much to enjoy, including the stellar musicianship, raw production, solid lyrics, and tight songwriting. Fans of "Separation" will not be disappointed listening to "Self Harvest," and it is a nice addition to any deathcore fan's collection.

Lost in the Sound of Separation. Lost in the Sound of Separation is the sixth album by American metalcore band Underoath. The album was released on August 30, 2008, in some markets, September 2, 2008, in the United States, and as late as September 19, 2008, in Italy. The album title is taken from a line of the lyrics of "We Are the Involuntary"

Boundary layer separation and wake formation Now think of what gonna happen after it leaves the surface. No rocket science is going to be in your gray flesh! It will simply flow with the same velocity U as it was before without any diffusion of momentum or anything. Here there is a very huge change in momentum of the stream and after leaving the surface, it is not going to restore to it’s former momentum state out of sudden, that causes void or backwater behind the flat surface which is wake formation. And such separation from the flow channel is called boundary layer separation. Boundary layer separation occurs when there is an abrupt change in the momentum of the flow channel, either in magnitude or in direction. Songs of Separation is a superlative and essential record, from its initial concept through to the final result; it's a huge accomplishment by anybody's standards and all involved have every right to feel justifiably proud of their achievement. And the corncrake? The subject of the separation of humankind from the natural environment is key: habitat loss has meant that the numbers of this migratory bird have declined across the British Isles since the mid-19th century. Consequently, corncrakes are now restricted to Ireland and the northern and western islands of Scotland including, of course, the Isle of Eigg. In addition to the wealth of harmony singing throughout the album, the team made two entirely a capella recordings, s Trom An Direadh’ and ‘Unst Boat Song’. What makes the recordings especially notable is that they were both performed and recorded live in Eigg’s Cathedral Cave.
