The Les Humphries Singers was a 1970s musical group formed in Hamburg, Germany in 1969 by the English-born Les Humphries (born John Leslie Humphreys, 10 August 1940, in Croydon, Surrey, England - died 26 December 2007, in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England). The Les Humphries Singers dissolved at the end of the 1970s. Humphries moved back to Alton, Hampshire in England and later moved to London.

Riton's second album, Homies And Homos (2004) was a much more vocal affair, and featured amongst others, Lee Jones of Howdi and Luca Santucci. It includes a cover version of The Cure's song "Killing an Arab". In 2005, Riton and Ben Fat Trucker formed the Gucci Sound System. An album was expected late 2007, but to date there has been no further information on the project. Instead, Riton released an album under the pseudonym Eine Kleine Nacht Musik on the label Modular Records in July 2008. In 2010, he launched a project called "Carte Blanche"with DJ Mehdi. John Cooper Lawton (born 11 July 1946 in Halifax, England) is a rock and blues vocalist best known for his work with Lucifer's Friend, Uriah Heep and the Les Humphries Singers. Lawton began his musical career in North Shields, UK, in the early '60s with The Deans, a bunch of kids who decided at random that he should be singer. He then moved on to West One and later Stonewall which included John Miles, Vic Malcolm (later of Geordie) and Paul Thompson (later of Roxy Music).
