The track is also the second to lead all four charts at all, following Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Dark Necessities," which paced each list for at least one week in summer 2016. Lo/Hi" was written and produced by Auerbach and Carney, and recorded at Auerbach's Easy Eye Sound studio in Nashville. The pair moved from Akron, Ohio, to Tennessee in 2010. The first Black Keys album recorded at Easy Eye was El Camino, which arrived the following year. Waiting on a Song marked the debut of Auerbach's new Easy Eye Sound record label.
