Complete your Slayer collection. Very decent release from Back on Black, i doubt this sound as good as some original pressings, but it's definitely the best way to go if you're looking for a reissue of both releases on one album. Sound's pretty okay to my ears, they did a proper mastering job on this one.

Haunting the Chapel is an extended play (EP) released by American thrash metal band Slayer in 1984 through Metal Blade and Enigma Records

Live Undead is the first live album by American thrash metal band Slayer. It was released through Metal Blade Records and recorded in New York City in front of a room of people. It has been questioned by both critics and authors that the audience sound may or may not be faked. However, in 1984, WBAB Fingers Metal Shop, a radio station, held a contest to meet and hang out with Slayer during a live recording.

Album · 1984 · 11 Songs. Live Undead is the record of that tour. Recorded live in a New York City Studio in front of 50 metal maniacs personally invited by the band, the first seven songs on this collection capture the band’s awe-inspiring onslaught. In the few months since recording Show No Mercy, Slayer had already refined its attack. The band’s barbaric blitz is punctuated by the guitar of Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman, whose leads on Evil Has No Boundaries and Show No Mercy are even more unhinged than the already-impressive studio versions

The Haunting the Chapel EP had also come out by this point, and it's represented here through "Captor of Sin", but hell, if this album were any longer it might have encompassed all of the band's official tracks to its da. In any case, Live Undead is quite pro, even if it's been manipulated somewhat to sound like something it wasn't. Those seeking out a far more substantial live offering from the Californians would be wise to go for Decade of Aggression, which still features a largely quality track listing and includes material from the impeccable South of Heaven and the amazing Reign in Blood, but the consistency within this 22 minute experience cannot be beat if you just want something to get the.

Aggressive Perfector, 02:29. Haunting the Chapel, 03:56.

The holy cross, symbol of lies Intimidate the lives of Christian born Speak of death, the words of hate Anticipation grows amongst the dead Hell has seen the priests attempt To bring forth their lord of the cross Strike of twelve, raise the dead The chapel comes under attack
