Perry Como had it all: good looks, a gorgeously mellow voice and a relaxed manner that made him a hit on both records and TV. Here was a uniquely humble man in an industry of giant egos. He won so many Gold Record awards over a 35 year RCA recording career, Perry refused certification on some of them, also tried suppressing the public disclosure of his total millions of discs sold.
