Finish copy promo of Kiat/Soul Intent's 'Paradise Lost'. The concept behind Vampire Records is the relationship between the nocturnal behaviour of clubbers and daywalkers. As one of the DJ pioneers of the drum & bass sound in Singapore, working under the same moniker of Kiat, he crafts and engineers tracks carefully and conceptually, weaving artistry with sound waves and frequencies. His productions are often intricately programmed with deep grooves hidden behind warm Detroit synths and strung together by dubby bass-lines and reworked hip-hop breaks.

As one of South East Asia’s pioneers of the drum & bass sound, Kiat has been championing the darker experimental side of electronica with quality breaks, rolling bass-lines and leftfield influences over many years. Together with fellow Singaporean Ash, they has also been featured as Leader of the Nu-Skool in recognised international drum & bass magazines KNOWLEDGE and ATM. Soul Intent aka Alex Judd has been DJ'ing since the age of 15. On first hearing a DJ Randall mix whilst at school, Alex knew he wanted to become a DJ. In 2005 Alex set up Brutal Recordings with a few other Nottingham based DJ's and producers under the name Dataset. Though the label only managed two releases before it was abandoned. Then in December 2006 Alex send off a couple of solo tracks to Mary Ann Hobbs at Radio 1, with Mary including "Jus Vibe" in her next show
