The CD on the whole is thin. There's percussion, there's a bassline, and there's Zon screaming through distortion about some angsty thing or another. There are no hooks, there's no ethereal synth, there's nothing to make any song stand out from the one before it. Even the percussion is weak, the snare-synth sounding more like a crack than a solid.

Faced the crowd In a blind mirror Skull smashed headfirst Against this wall of inner need I knew this fall Would send it all down towards the lights And they will question once more From their unscathed towers.

Talk about Dismantled - PostNuclear

Dismantled is a really good act. Gary Zon is an exceptional musician, and ordinarily his work would be worthy of twelve bucks any day. Just not this time. The CD on the whole is thin. There's percussion, there's a bassline, and there's Zon screaming through distortion about some angsty thing or another. There are no hooks, there's no ethereal synth, there's nothing to make any song stand out from the one before it. Even the percussion is weak, the snare-synth sounding more like a crack than a solid percussion hit. The one good song is Armed And Ready, which DOES have the forementioned qualities. However, the rest of the album (Armed And Ready is the first track) is a severe letdown, like the long low after a short high. And even I wouldn't buy an album for just one song.

This is fantastic! The most surprising electronic CD of the latest years to me! Melody and anger, noise and good rhythms, good unpredictable songs with lots of changing and sounds. No future poo dance beats here, just good ol' EBM and industrial sounds blended together. Keep an eye on Dismantled, they are the next big thing!
