He made his debut in 1978 as the first guitarist of the soloist class and is now a lecturer at the Academy. Lars Trier was a prize winner in the Nordic Musicians? Competition in 1975 and was a finalist in the global Hommage a André Ségovia competition in 1981, with Andres Segovia on the jury. In 1978, he received the Carl Nielsen Scholarship.
