VORUS was Conceived in 2017 as a solo project by an american Death Metal musician relocated to Romania. Uriel (ex-Gutwrench, Necrorite, ex-Cryptic Realms, etc). As a solo project Vorus recorded the "Chamber of Laments" Demo in August, 2017. Released in tape by Death in Pieces Recs in Oct 2017. In sept 2017, Uriel's wife Corina (Romanian metal bassist, ex-Deimos, ex-Atys) became part of the band.

A three track demo called Chamber of Laments showcased the exciting blast of death metal that Vorus had to offer in 2017. Originally a solo project, the debut album ‘The Wretched Path’sees the project become a two-piece and will be released in Spring 2018. You can also read our interview with them here.
