La Jetée by LARVA, released 29 September 2018 1. La Jetée The second release from Ondes Positive’s in-house band LARVA. Recorded live at Flatpack Film Festival in April 2016, LARVA's re-scoring of Chris Marker's 1962 Science Fiction short 'La Jetée' sets out to re-frame the film from existential romance to abyssal fugue. The soundtrack is scored in part for a new instrument, created specifically for this project: The Glass Chroma-Harp.

Constructed almost entirely from still photos, it tells the story of a post-nuclear war experiment in time travel. It is 28 minutes long and shot in black and white.

Director: Chris Marker. Starring: André Heinrich, Davos Hanich, Étienne Becker and others. Time travel, still images, a past, present and future and the aftermath of World War III. The tale of a man, a slave, sent back and forth, in and out of time, to find a solution to the world’s fate. To replenish its decreasing stocks of food, medicine and energies, and in doing so, resulting in a perpetual memory of a lone female, life, death and past events that are recreated on an airport’s viewing pier
