Cameron Mesirow (born 1983 or 1984), known professionally as Glasser, is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer signed to True Panther Sounds. She released her debut EP, Apply, on May 26, 2009, followed by debut studio album Ring on September 24, 2010. Her second studio album, Interiors, was released on October 4, 2013. Mesirow was born in Boston, Massachusetts.
Back then Glasser was a solo project- just Mesirow singing over GarageBand beats- but the song had a great mix of electronic drag and skyward pop, and showcased Mesirow's impressive vocal range. Fast-forward almost two years later and it seems like the kind of music Glasser makes- sort of quasi-mystical, swirling electro-pop- has become a lot more popular. Separate all of this from Ring and you're still left with a remarkably listenable album. People have compared Glasser to Björk but this isn't difficult music- ultimately it feels more in line with loose, melodically generous records by Joni Mitchell or maybe even Feist.

Glasser is the recording and stage name of the American singer songwriter Cameron Mesirow. Her experimental music blends densely layered electronic sounds with various acoustic instruments and her angelic voice. She is often compared with artists like Fever Ray, Björk, Bat For Lashes and Florence + The Machine. The name "Glasser" was inspired by "a midnight vision of a figure hovering over water".
In fear the album title would sit awkwardly in misunderstanding, True Panther’s streaming of Ring explained that the listening experience meant to be enjoyed with Glasser's debut is supposed to be structured like the chiastic (or, Ring) structure used in ancient literature. Though I suppose that's a bit of a task considering the formatting restrictions of releasing an album with a tracklisting, shuffle is the magic button for those of you excited by a non-linear listening experience.
Album · 2010 · 11 Songs. On her 2010 debut as Glasser, Cameron Mesirow sets a thick tapestry of exotic instrumentation afloat in an ethereal, electronic waterworld. The entire album undulates, even in its wild, tribal moments. Elsewhere, her honeyed, haunting vocals recall Kate Bush, or even Enya, as they glide through fairy-tale forests of xylophones ("Home") and woodwinds ("Plane Temp")
