Fitz of Depression is an American punk rock band from Olympia, Washington, formed in 1987. The band released three albums before splitting up in 1997. There were brief reunion tours in 2000 and 2002. The band continues to play, particularly in the Northwest, with occasional west coast tours. Formed in Olympia in 1988, the band's original lineup consisted of Mike Dees (Mikey Dees vocals, guitar), Jim Koontz (bass guitar), and Craig Becker (drums).

Fitz of Depression reconfigured many times over the years with Dees being the main consistent member throughout their tenure. The band was joined on stage by Nirvana and Bikini Kill and the show was filmed and featured in the 1996 grunge documentary Hype!. The band first broke up in 1997, but reunited once in 2000 for a tour with Bad Brains and then again in 2002, playing shows off and on in the subsequent years

Fitz of Depression was shaped within the late ’80s by Mikey Dees, Jim Koontz, and Craig Becker. Their debut self-titled EP was launched in 1989. In 1991, the band held a profit live performance to assist Dees repay visitors tickets to keep away from jail time. Bikini Kill and Nirvana performed; it was featured within the movie Hype! A follow-up 10″ self-titled album adopted in 1993. Ok Records launched two correct albums-1994’s Let’s Give It a Twist and 1996’s Swing. The band underwent a number of lineup adjustments over time and broke up following the discharge of Swing
