Jeffrey H. Lorber (born November 4, 1952) is an American keyboardist, composer, and record producer. After six previous nominations, Lorber won his first Grammy Award on Jan. 28, 2018 for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album for Prototype by his band The Jeff Lorber Fusion

This is without question Jeff Lorber's finest and most consistant albums of the 1980's and is VERY difficult to locate on C. he classic title track,featuring the dynamic vocals of singer Audrey Wheeler is the main centerpiece of this album and most of the material tends to be very similar-uptempo. vocal funky R&B/fusion with a few light touches. The two instrumentals "Groovacious" and "On The Wild Side"-both recorded with Mic Murphy of The System have a heavy techno-funk element featuring Lorber's experiments with the Yamaha KX-1.
