Earth is a live album by Neil Young and Promise of the Real, released on June 17, 2016 on Reprise Records. Recorded during the band's Rebel Content Tour in 2015, the album was produced by Young and John Hanlon and features live performances augmented by studio overdubs and additional nature and animal sounds. Young described the album as "a collection of 13 songs from throughout my life, songs I have written about living here on our planet together.

Lukas Nelson performs 'Bad Case' with his brother Micah Nelson and Promise of the Real See all.

Valance Drakes: Modern Man, Thinker, Inventor. These are the traits that have moved audiences since he slipped quietly into the Electronic scene over the past few years. His influence has been slow and steady, and his genius cannot be ignored.

But in the opening line to his second full-length with Texas country rockers Promise of the Real, he doesn’t waste any time reminding people where he’s from originally. I’m Canadian by the way, he sings on Already Great. And I love the USA. It’s not only a reminder of his ancestral roots for the rest of us, but most notably for the current president of these United States, Mr. Donald Trump, whom in the past has considered.

Neil Young's second album with heartland rockers Promise of the Real is 'The Visitor. Rich Fury/Invision/AP. Neil Young’s latest LP with heartland-rock band Promise of the Real opens with Already Great, where the guitars cut like rusty plows and anti-Trump invective becomes bitter tribute: You’re the promise land/The helping hand/No wall. That sense of cranky rage and ageless idealism are all over The Visitor

But beneath these plush trappings, he’s still, in many ways, the same Toronto MC who is by turns paranoid about his standing and prone to long bouts of introspection. It’s a rap pastime to sort an artist’s song and album catalog with each new release. Here’s the most updated evaluation of the best Drake albums, from worst to best.

While still pointedly political, Neil Young’s latest with Promise of the Real takes a more freewheeling, macro look at the world and becomes more centered than his recent albums. After backing him on 2015’s The Monsanto Years and its semi-live companion album Earth, the members of Promise of the Real seem palpably relieved to no longer be dealing with songs exclusively about food justice. Despite their tendency to ham up every song (contrast Neil’s recent solo rendition of Stand Tall with the album version, where his bandmates resort to chanting along with him after certain words), it’s clear that they have a deep reverence for and understanding of his work.
