Ottis Dewey Whitman Jr. (January 20, 1923 – June 19, 2013), professionally known by the stage name Slim Whitman, was an American country music, western music and folk music artist singer-songwriter and instrumentalist known for his yodeling abilities and his smooth, high, three-octave-range falsetto in a style christened as "countrypolitan". He stated that he had sold in excess of 120 million records

Waves was the debut album by New Zealand folk-rock band Waves. It was released in 1975 and reached N. on the New Zealand album charts. The album, which became a sought-after collectors item on vinyl, was re-released in 2013 on vinyl and CD with a bonus disc, Misfit, a previously unreleased album recorded by the band in 1976. Three singles were taken from the album-"The Dolphin Song"/"Letters", "Arrow"/Clock House Shuffle" and "At the Beach"/Waitress".

Slim Whitman (January 20, 1924 in Tampa, Florida - June 19, 2013, Orange Park, Florida) is an American country music singer and songwriter. Self-taught on the guitar, Otis Whitman worked at a shipyard in Tampa while developing a musical career, eventually performing with a band known as the "Variety Rhythm Boys".

Singing was Slim's true passion and in 1949 RCA Records signed him to a recording contract and he had only modest success, also had appearances on the Louisiana Hayride. His first single Love Song Of The Waterfall was a hit selling over a half million copies. When Indian Love Call was released it put his music in full swing. In 1965 More Than Yesterday was a hit for Slim reaching in the top ten. Slim Whitman lyrics represents a large variety of music with many beautiful songs they are always very entertaining  .
