The Bill Evans Trio "Live" is a live album by American jazz pianist Bill Evans and his Trio, released in 1971 and recorded in 1964. Side 1. "Nardis" (Miles Davis) - 6:00. Some Day My Prince Will Come" (Frank Churchill, Larry Morey) - 6:20. Stella by Starlight" (Ned Washington, Victor Young) - 6:20. How My Heart Sings" (Earl Zindars) - 4:45. Side 2. "'Round Midnight" (Thelonious Monk, Cootie Williams) - 6:06. What Kind of Fool Am I?" (Leslie Bricusse, Anthony Newley) - 8:00.

The following is a listing of the jazz pianist Bill Evans' original albums. He recorded over 50 albums as a leader between 1956 and 1980 and also played as a sideman on nearly as many more. He broke new ground in many of his piano trio, duet and solo recordings. Several of those won or were nominated for Grammy Awards. Jerry Wald and his Orchestra (1953). Listen to the Music of Jerry Wald (1955). The Singing Reed (1955). A Message from Garcia (1955).

Bill Evans and his 1965 trio (which also includes bassist Chuck Israels and drummer Larry Bunker) meet a symphony orchestra conducted and arranged by Claus Ogerman. They perform adaptations of six classical themes plus a pair of Evans compositions ("Time Remembered" and "My Bells") but, as one might expect, the strings weigh down the music and Evans' improvisations are somewhat buried beneath the unimaginative arrangements. This is one of Bill Evans' least significant recordings, a weak third stream effort.

Bill Evans Trio with Symphony Orchestra. Bill Evans Trio with Symphony Orchestra is an album by American jazz pianist Bill Evans and his trio, released in 1966. The group is accompanied by an orchestra arranged and conducted by Claus Ogerman. one of Bill Evans' least significant recordings, a weak third stream effort.

Bill Evans Trio & Orchestra. Concerto For Orchestra And Jazz: 2. Elegia. Bill Evans Trio & Orchestra.

The Bill Evans Trio is accompanied by a symphony orchestra conducted and arranged by Claus Ogerman. Evans was very proud of this album. Ogermann's charts are sweetly romantic rather than overbearing, and this gives Evans and his trio (with bassist Chuck Israels and drummer Grady Tate) room to maneuver.

Albums that included, Trio ’64, Trio ’65, Bill Evans At Town Hall, A Simple Matter of Conviction and of course Bill Evans With Symphony Orchestra; all of which did so much to create the Evans’ legend. The album with Ogerman was begun on 29 September 1965 in New York City when four tracks were recorded, with the rest of the album concluded in December. The album includes compositions by Grenados, Bach, Scriabin, Faure and Chopin as well as two by Evans and one by Ogerman. Faure’s ‘Pavane’ is beautiful and did much to make this lyrical piece the firm favourite that it has become.
