This Is Tom Jones was an ATV variety series starring Tom Jones. The series was exported to the United States by ITC Entertainment and was networked there by ABC. The series ran between 1969 and 1971 to total 65 color episodes. Jones was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for "Best Actor In a Television Series - Musical or Comedy" in 1969. The show also featured comedy sketches by the Ace Trucking Company improvisational group, featuring Fred Willard and Patti Deutsch, among others.

Tom Jones revels in MOR pop for this mostly fine 1969 long-player. The layered string and choral backdrop gets a soul update on "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" and Betty Everett and Jerry Butler's duet hit "Let It Be Me," as "Dance of Love"'s pelvic R&B makes for a quick glimpse of the singer's show-stomping energy

This is Tom Jones, is Tom at his very best. When he sings songs like Only Once, or I'm a Fool To Want You. His Vocals and Soul, he puts into these Songs is Amazing. They are sung with unbelievable heart and soul. Tom makes me swoon when he sings these romantic tunes. yes, I still have a record player.
