Biography, Bach Discography and Photos of the artist. The Choir and Orchestra of the . Bach Foundation (formerly: Schola Seconda Practica) was founded by Rudolf Lutz in 2006. The ensemble consists of professional musicians from the whole of Switzerland, southern Germany and Austria. All its members are experienced in historical performance practices and relish the challenge of exploring a contemporary and vital interpretation of .

Rudolf Lutz (born 1951) is a Swiss organist, harpsichordist, conductor and composer. The Foundation is engaged in a project to perform and record Bach's complete vocal works at a church in Trogen. The Foundation maintains a choir and an orchestra (founded by Lutz as the "ensemble Schola Seconda Pratica") and features international soloists in the Bach performances. Christen, ätzet diesen Tag (Christians, engrave this day), BWV 63, is a church cantata by Johann Sebastian Bach. He composed the Christmas cantata for the First Day of Christmas, possibly in 1713 for the Liebfrauenkirche in Halle. He performed it again for his first Christmas as Thomaskantor in Leipzig, on 25 December 1723.
