Love Symbol is the fourteenth studio album by American recording artist Prince, and the second of two that featured his backing band the New Power Generation. It was released on October 13, 1992 by Paisley Park Records and Warner Bros. It was originally conceived as a "fantasy rock soap opera" with various spoken segues throughout (with its storyline becoming the basis for the direct-to-video film 3 Chains o' Gold), and contains elements of R&B, pop, soul, funk, and rock styles.

Symbol Six is an American rock and roll band formed in Santa Monica, California in 1980 by Eric Leach, Phil George, Mark Conway, Donny Brook (original bass player for Necros), Taz Rudd, and Steve Cooper. Originating in Los Angeles and Orange County, when the band started the average age of the band members was 15 years old. The band has played clubs such as the Cuckoo's Nest (Costa Mesa, C., Godzillas (Sun Valley, C., and Bards Apollo (South Central, Los Angeles).

Symbol Six was distributed world-wide by Green World but the group broke up shortly after the album was released. The order in which the artists are listed in this entry is confusing. The spine reads "FANG/ SYMBOL SIX. Both the cover and the label list Fang first, followed by Symbol Six. Meanwhile, it's worth noting that "Fat Boy" was recorded in '98, "..Cellblock.." in '13.
MOQ
Purchased 15 mos. late, fr. choice of 2 in store. Both were unsealed, but enclosed by Jailhouse's open, loose poly sleeve w. RECORD STORE DAY - APRIL 19, 2014 label. RSD label adds "LIMITED TO 400! ALL NEW TRACKS FROM L.A PUNK ROCKS MOST LEGENDARY!" [sic]. The RSD label appears to be 2nd gen photocopy; hence, this note. But I presume this endearing tackiness to be merely Jailhouse's cost-cutting endeavor. The two songs by Symbol Six are available on youtube; "Fired Up" as a performance video.
