All tracks composed by Florian Fricke except 2, 9 composed by Florian Fricke and Daniel Fichelscher, and 7 composed by Daniel Fichelscher. Lyrics by Salomo arranged by Florian Fricke. Very similar to Seiligpreisung and Einsjager, this is still a slight progression on the refinement of this type of near-acoustic prog (well there is plenty of electric guitars but not power chords or seering feedback-ladden solos).

We start our second series of Popol Vuh reissues with the fantastic Das Hohelied Salomos, which takes it over from where Einsjäger Und Siebenjäger left it. It features the classic trio of Florian Fricke, Daniel Fichelscher and Djong Yun, plus the help of Amon Düül’s Al Gromer. The theme of the album is taken from biblical passages, using verses from King Salomon’s tales on The Old Testament
