New Maps of Hell is the fourteenth studio album by Bad Religion, released on July 10, 2007. Bad Religion's follow-up to 2004's The Empire Strikes First was originally rumored to be a double album to be released in 2006, but this was denied by bassist Jay Bentley. Due to the band's ongoing support with their previous release, the album was put on hold until 2007.

Bad Religion has already proved their skill, releasing solid albums every few years for a while now, and New Maps of Hell is no different. It finds that the guys don't just still have it, but they sound goddamn rejuvenated, bristling with electric energy and undeniable fervor - their sharpness ultimately a testament to all the years playing together, especially in the complementary songwriting skills of Greg Graffin and Brett Gurewitz.

New Maps of Hell also marks the third Bad Religion album released after returning to Epitaph Records for 2002's The Process of Belief and with Gurewitz since his departure during the release of 1994's Stranger Than Fiction. Studio album by. Bad Religion. Singles from New Maps of Hell. Honest Goodbye" Released: May 22, 2007. New Dark Ages" Released: October 23, 2007.

New Maps of Hell is Bad Religion’s fourteenth full-length studio album, which was released on July 10, 2007. It celebrates the 25th anniversary of their first album How Could Hell Be Any Worse?, although the band had been around for twenty-eight years. The title is something of a departure for the band, in the sense that most Bad Religion albums have an eponymous title track, except How Could Hell Be Any Worse?, Into the Unknown, The Process of Belief and The Dissent of Man. The title may refer to a book on Science Fiction history by Kingsley Amis published in 1961

Every bad religion album slays. So fucking good, shoulda known. to each his own i guess. 2 years ago. I think this is their first bad album. they´re quite premium ones i guess. Quite 2 out of top 5 or st. .But believe me young padavan, theres worllds to discover. I got into their music way too late.

Bad Religion has for years been considered by new crops of listeners to be a vital band because they're such OG hardcore kingpins.
