The Dream Syndicate is an American alternative rock band from Los Angeles, California, originally active from 1981 to 1989, and reunited since 2012. Los Angeles’s The Dream Syndicate is thrilled to announce 'These Times,' their second album of new music since their 2012 reunion nearly thirty years after they first influenced California’s Paisely Underground scene. When I was writing the songs for the new album I was pretty obsessed with Donuts by J-Dilla, lead singer and songwriter Steve Wynn explained.

The Dream Syndicate is an American alternative rock band associated with neo-psychedelia and the Paisley Underground. The latest single and video from our album These Times is quite simply a tale of hope and optimism-the journey through darkness that leads to a blinding, luminous light at the end of the tunnel. Or, more sonically, it’s what might have happened if George Harrison had collaborated with Big Star instead of Badfinger while making All Things Must Pass.

The previously announced reissue of The Dream Syndicate’s long-out-of-print second album, Medicine Show, will be released June 15 - and will be fleshed out with the full This Is Not the New Dream Syndicate Albu. ive! EP. The reissue - packaged in a new digipack and remastered from the original tapes - marks the first CD release of the 1984 album since its original issue in 1989, when it also featured the 1984 live EP as a bonus - but without that five-song record’s final cut, a nearly 10-minute blast through John Coltrane Stereo Blues

This album is a little less Velvet Underground and Television, and a little more Neil Young and CCR, but still features Wynn's distinctive songwriting and plenty of guitar workouts. Water's deluxe reissue includes the This Is Not The New Dream Syndicate Album Live! EP as bonus tracks and notes by Steve Wynn, Peter Buck (REM), and David Fricke (Rolling Stone), along with vintage photos. A classic album back in print on CD!
