Country Christmas is a Christmas album and 78th overall album by American country singer Johnny Cash, released on Laserlight Digital in 1991 (see 1991 in music), in-between Cash's contracts with Mercury Records and American Recordings. Four tracks do not feature Cash but instead feature vocals by his wife, June Carter Cash and the Carter Family

The Johnny Cash Show is the 35th overall album and live album by country singer Johnny Cash, recorded at the Grand Ole Opry and released on Columbia Records in 1970 as a tie-in with Cash's then-current TV series of the same title. Though one of Cash's lesser-known live records, it spawned the highly successful single "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down", which helped kickstart the career of singer-songwriter Kris Kristofferson. The song and album reached No. 1 on the Country charts.

Johnny Cash albums discography. The Johnny Cash albums discography chronicles the output of one of the most prolific recorded music artists of all time, singer Johnny Cash. His lengthy career, spanning 1954 to 2003, included the release of 96 albums on several record labels. Over the years, Cash also collaborated with many of the industry's most notable artists, and received many awards and accolades from different organizations.

The album debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 70 (itself his best showing on that survey since ‘The Man In Black,’ in 1971), and climbed as high as N. 2. That was easily the best performance to date by any of the ‘American’ albums, but it was not until after Cash’s death that the fifth record in the run, ‘American V; A Hundred Highways,’ became his first No. 1 pop album since 1969’s ‘Johnny Cash At San Quentin.

Johnny Cash had given up on life by the early 90s. Then he met Rick Rubin – the producer who would reawaken his career with the acoustic American Recordings. Lou Robin (manager): Johnny had been with Polygram since 1986. He owed them one more album and wanted to do a gospel album, but they didn’t want that, so they were kinda at loggerheads. John Carter Cash (son): He was recovering from a broken jaw caused by dental surgery, and he’d also had surgery on his knee. He was suffering chronic pain and got to a point where he could no longer take opiates for that, but he was determined to endure. Lou Robin: We were talking to various labels, but none of them were coming up with fresh ideas.

Peterbilt drivers don't pick up low riders They don't slow for the curves in the road They hate to keep logs, they hate riders on hogs Watch out for a shift in your load. When I was young, I had Gene Autry guns But I never had a Lionel train Now I've got a truck, if I keep payments up And it weighs thirty tons in the rain. I've read a few lines from the poets And sometimes, I might cross the line I don't know the answer to the mystery of life But a woman sure helps pass the time. When I was young, I had Gene Autry guns But I never had a Lionel train Now I've got a truck if I keep payments up And it weighs thirty tons in the rain. The Mystery Of Life (1990).
