A field recording of a small myna-like bird with only one foot, in a cage outside of a small shop, in Luang Prabang.
It mimicked the sounds children's voices, and of construction; particularly the sound of people hammering wood at a distance. Luang Prabang was undergoing much construction at the time.
"Puega Puebo" was the bird's name, which means "banana" in Laotian.
The cover drawing was made on location.
