Blige, Kanye West, Cage, St. Vincent, GLC, Chip Tha Ripper and Nicole Wray. It is built up of five acts in which the listener can witness Cudi becoming The Rager. First, he is having a good time, partying, drinking and smoking in his typical Don’de

After the two-dimensional art-school-kid clichés of Man on the Moon, kiD CuDi partially makes good on his promise to loosen up his music. His 2009 debut, Man on the Moon: The End of the Day, was a modest commercial success but a mortifying creative face-plant, a compilation of the most two-dimensional art-school-kid clichés (I'm sad, I'm stoned, I'm deep) imaginable, over unrelievedly monotonous electro tracks. It was hard to find a more self-satisfied and less likable pop record that year. Man on the Moon II, the sequel, is still a bumpy listen, but it tweaks his formula enough to at least hint at the massive promise Kanye sees in him. First, and most crucially, he perks up the tempo a little

The first Man on the Moon is much better than this album IMO.

(Quick Review #43)Listen: #1This is an intersting album. Compared to the first one, the actual concept album part of this album is muuuch better. It's a lot darker than the first one, dealing with drug addiction and Cudi being trapped into this addiction and him trying to get out but not really being able to. While the first one had a much more radio-friendly fun tracks to it, this one doesn't really have any tracks I would listen to outside of a full listen to the album. Which is perfectly fine, this is a great project. Is it better than the first? I don't know honestly. But both are great projects. Now what happened to Cudi after this project is pretty sad, and apparently he's making a Man On The Moon 3, but concidering everything Cudi has released Post- this album I don't have much hope. Especially since it would be coming off of the disgrace to music that is Speedin' Bullet to Heaven. One day I will listen to that project, and I will probably become depressed and go through the drug addiction seen in this album because of how shit it is, I'm going to need to snort the coke away from having to even think about that tragedy.Anyway, Strong 8
