L-O-V-E is the final studio album by the American singer Nat King Cole. It was arranged by Ralph Carmichael. L-O-V-E was Cole's last album, and was released shortly before his death in February 1965. Nat King Cole recorded this with orchestra leader and arranger Nelson Riddle in 1951. It became a hit again in 1991 (US UK for Nat's daughter, Natalie, when her vocals were dubbed with his to make a duet.
Nat King Cole was way before his time. Too bad he passed away so soon. We could have had a lot more beautiful music from him. I'm just sorry the generations since his passing probably don't know what they're missing by not listening to his beautiful voice. It's here to be purchased (at great prices) and listened to. One can't help but be touched by it and just love it. I agree with everyone else, you can't have Christmas without some of our generations' singers, and Nat King Cole is surely one of them. I hate Christmas music but love Nat King Cole. This is the only Christmas album I can listen to over and over 12 months per year. One person found this helpful.

Cole’s first mainstream hit was Straighten Up and Fly Right in 1943. Bo Diddley, who performed similar folk-based material said that song was a big influence on him. In the late 40s, Cole began recording more pop-oriented material. His stature as a pop singer was cemented by hits like Route 66, Mona Lisa and Unforgettable. In the 50s, virtually every home had a copy of his Christmas album. Cole continued to perform and record into the 60s, with songs like Those Lazy-Hazy-Crazy Days of Summer, Ramblin' Rose and Cat Balou
