Derek William Dick (born 25 April 1958), better known by his stage name Fish, is a Scottish singer-songwriter and occasional actor. Fish became widely known as the lead singer and lyricist of the neo-progressive rock band Marillion from 1981 until 1988. He released 11 UK Top 40 singles with the band, including the Top Ten singles "Kayleigh", "Lavender" and "Incommunicado", and five Top Ten albums, including a number-one with Misplaced Childhood

The new ep from fish. The new EP from Fish, ‘A Parley With Angels’ features new tracks – ‘Man With A Stick’, ‘Waverley Steps’ and ‘Little Man What Now?’, all of which will appear on FISH’s final studio album, Weltschmerz. Also included are four tracks recorded live at London’s Islington Assembly Hall in 2017: ‘Emperor’s Song’, ‘State Of Mind’, ‘Circle Line’ and ‘Voyeur’.

Marillion were reviled as the antithesis of punk, but the level of anger on the album is actually quite punk. Well, it’s a protest album. I’d like to think a bit more thought went into the lyrics than a lot of punk ones.
