Demigod is the seventh studio album by Polish extreme metal band Behemoth. The album was recorded during May and July in 2004 at the Hendrix Studios and was released on 11 October 2004. Daniel Bergstrand mixed the record at the Dug out Studios in Uppsala, Sweden during July and August in 2004. The record was then mastered at the Cutting Room in Stockholm, Sweden in August, 2004. The track "XUL" included a guest guitar solo by Karl Sanders of Nile.

It’s a kind of extraordinary force locked up in a small space and trying to get free even by ruining everything on its way ! And the result is : a real slaughter ! It’s a pure death metal album on the american way that the band is offering now. A real accumulated know-how in years. The lead guitar plays an ear-catching death metal riffs with an oriental shade going with a well done rhythmical and a drum which the least to say is that it was Excellent.

This album is titled Demigod. Demigods are a half god and half human species in Greek mythology. Behemoth was my first introduction to extreme metal, and this album was my first extreme metal purchase. As such, it has held a special place in my heart.
