This is a list of punk rock compilation albums. Compilation albums played a particularly vital role in the development of new punk rock bands, since relatively few local bands had a large enough audience to justify their own albums. 5 Album Studio Set. 1977 Revisited. Singles Box. The Singles (1991 The Clash album). The Singles (2007 The Clash album). Sound System (album). The Story of the Clash, Volume 1. Super Black Market Clash.

Punk Goes Pop Volume Two is the eighth compilation album in the Punk Goes. It was released on March 9, 2009, in the United Kingdom, and March 10, 2009, in the United States. The album debuted at number 15 on the Billboard 200, selling 21,000 copies in its first week.

Punk’s definition is in the eyes of the beholder, and our end result is the a mish-mash of safety pinned logos that I might not have expected to see on the same tattered vest. As a collection of albums, however, they all represent punk in its various eras, evolutionary stages, styles, approaches and attitudes. Their second album is their most potent statement, a punchy garage-punk half-hour that nods to old-schoolers like The Wipers while injecting their own sense of ironic humor into snarling screeds like I Hate the Kids. If punk is a teenager’s game, nobody bothered to tell these bruisers. 99. Dag Nasty – Can I Say (1986; Dischord).

French electronic music duo Daft Punk has released four studio albums, two live albums, one compilation album, one soundtrack album, three remix albums, two video albums, twenty-two singles and nineteen music videos. Group members Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo met in 1987 while studying at the Lycée Carnot secondary school. They subsequently recorded several demo tracks with each other, forming Daft Punk in 1993

Their first album, Killing Joke, was released in 1980. After the release of Revelations in 1982, bassist Youth was replaced by Paul Raven. The band achieved mainstream success in 1985 with both the album Night Time and the single "Love Like Blood". Recordings of the rehearsals were later released as Duende - The Spanish Sessions.

Tracks like Cut Yr Teeth play offense in the game of standing your ground, while Easier To Love turns the focus inward, allowing songwriter Zoe Reynolds to examine herself through the reflection in a waterfall of lush harmonies. Last year, we named Oliver Houston’s debut album Whatever Works to be our second-best underground indie release of 2017. In the time since, the members unfortunately went their separate ways, marking the end of one of the modern midwestern emo scene’s staple acts.
