The album debuted at No. 26 on the Billboard 200 upon release.

Crosses (usually stylized as †††) is the musical side project of Deftones singer Chino Moreno, Far guitarist Shaun Lopez, and bassist Chuck Doom, based in Los Angeles, California, and formed in 2011. Having recorded together previously, Deftones singer Chino Moreno began recording with childhood friend and neighbor Shaun Lopez, also of the band Far, as well as Chuck Doom

Working with a third co-conspirator, Chuck Doom, the trio's self-titled, full-length debut is a mysterious blend of dreamy pop and atmospheric electronica, evoking the chilled-out sounds of Massive Attack and Sneaker Pimps. Though there’s certainly an element of heaviness to the album, it’s not the sort that fans of Lopez and Moreno’s art-metal endeavors might be expecting.

It’s been a long time coming for California’s Crosses. The band originated three years ago, when Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno teamed up with Shaun Lopez of Far and producer Chuck Doom, dropping electronic-driven trips to the Spirit World across two EP’s since 2011. Crosses’ 2014 debut LP isn’t a new work, at least not entirely.
