48 Hrs" is the debut album by rap duo Frank-n-Dank. It was unofficially released in August 5, 2003. The whole album was produced by J Dilla. 48 Hrs" can be seen as a collaboration between J Dilla and Frank-N-Dank, as the former not only produces the whole record but also played a large role in bringing the group to a larger underground audience, through their appearance on "Welcome 2 Detroit", as well as producing various 12"s released prior to the album

48 Hours is now at last ready for the respect and proper release it has deserved all along, with the complete album as well as a second disc of Dilla's instrumentals included. As Frank reminds us, "This is the exact version of 48 Hours that we (Frank N Dank & Dilla) turned in to MCA and the way Dilla intended it to be!" Track Listings.

Frank N Dank’s 48 Hours is just such a recording. Why so few samples from Dilla? Where’s the original version ? There are nearly more questions about this album than cuts on the album. But according to Frank Nitt, contrary to popular belief there was never an ‘original version’ of 48 Hours. We started recording songs to sample driven beats of Dilla‘s and we got 80% of the album done and Dilla decided to change the beats to all the songs. That’s right, it was Dilla’s creative vision that stripped out the samples.

PS Interlude" is just the intro for the song "Pimp Strut" and is also present on all versions of this album. Other Versions (5 of 5) View All. Cat.48 Hours Instrumentals ‎(LP, Album).
