As a compliment to its release, the band appeared on National TV, turning up on shows like ‘Cheggers plays Pop’, ‘TV-AM’ and ‘Wack-a day’, and they were even heard playing in the background on on the juke box in the Queen Vic during an episode of Eastenders.

Road to Rouen is the fifth studio album by English rock band Supergrass. The title refers to the city in northern France where the album was recorded, as well as the 1978 album Road to Ruin by punk rock band Ramones. It was in 1991 that the NME said Slowdive could "make Cocteau Twins resemble Mudhoney," and the fluffy sprawl of this record seems to be trying to prove them right.
