Album Only A Lad. Only A Lad Lyrics. Johnny was bad, even as a child Everybody could tell Everyone said, "If you don't get straight, you'll surely go to hell" But Johnny didn't care He was an outlaw by the time that he was ten years old He didn't wanna do what he was told Just a prankster, a juvenile gangster His teachers didn't

Oingo Boingo /ˈɔɪŋɡoʊ ˈbɔɪŋɡoʊ/ was an American new wave band, formed by songwriter Danny Elfman in 1979. Oingo Boingo emerged from a surrealist performance art theatrical troupe, The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo, founded in 1972 and led by Danny Elfman's brother Richard Elfman. Oingo Boingo were known for their high energy live concerts and experimental music, which can be described as mixing rock, ska, pop and world music.

Johnny was bad, even as a child Everybody could tell Everyone said, "If you don't get straight, you'll surely go to hell". But Johnny didn't care He was an outlaw by the time that he was ten years old He didn't wanna do what he was told Just a prankster, a juvenile gangster. His teachers didn't understand They kicked him out of school At a tender early age Just because he didn't want to learn things Had other interests He liked to burn things

Only A Lad ‎(LP, Album, Promo). Masterpiece Boingo record. Entire album is great and never gets old - its new every time you listen to it and with interesting musicianship like no other band from this era. Boingo didn't seem to fear genre blending using elements of rock, pop, new wave/punk, electronics, and ska - mixing it all up together way back in '81. Reply Notify me Helpful.

Farewell: Live from the Universal Amphitheatre, Halloween 1995 is a double live album and home video release by American new wave band Oingo Boingo, documenting their final concert performance on Halloween night of 1995. As with all their live shows, the setlist included songs from across the band's large discography, many of which were given new arrangements.

Only a Lad introduced the world to a man who would later become one of its most recognizable popular composers. Danny Elfman, later to write the score for The Simpsons as well as countless movie soundtracks, formed Oingo Boingo in 1977, but it wasn't until Only a Lad's 1981 release that they achieved national recognition. Only a Lad contains obvious new wave elements, but it doesn't stick to any one style long, undulating over a vast musical terrain. Ska, new wave, classical, heavy metal - they all make at least cameo appearances.

Oingo Boingo - Only a Lad Cassette Music Album Tape Retro Vintage RARE. Little Girls' starts off the album in a really great way, being a way of instantly establishing the weirdness of the band, contrasting really fun, catchy synthpop melodies with some incredibly unsettling lyrics. This is definitely one of those songs that will worm its way into your head and pop up at the most inopportune times, but I still can't deny that it is really fun to listen to.
