Castro is a major big deal in hardcore cumbia, and here he cuts loose with one of those jovially batty sonoras. There's no baritone horn, alas, but lots of singularly fine clarinet. Castro himself plays a mean accordion, too heavy to bother with flash most of the time. The mix of killer playing and cut-up atmosphere, along with the cumbia's ponderous grace - elephants dancing - is indescribable.
