Ducretet et ci. later Ducretet Thomson was a French company founded by scientist Eugène Adrien Ducretet which produced, among other scientific instruments, an early "plate phonograph", or tinfoil disc player (1879) and a tinfoil phonograph for cylinders. The company was later absorbed into the French Thomson Group and the division's product line extended to early televisions.

Ducretet et ci. The company brand was also used for a record label until the end of the 1950s. The label eventually became part of London Records. The repertoire focused on world music, including UNESCO recordings.

While the outstanding reputation of the Hungarian-born pianist Lili Kraus was built on a comparatively narrow repertoire of Viennese classics (Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert), her experience as a musician and as a human being was of extraordinary breadth  . This collection gathers together all the recordings Kraus made for three separate labels – Parlophone, Ducretet-Thomson and Discophiles Français.

Ducretet et ci. A French record, issued by Decca in Britain from October 1954. In 1958 the label made its final appearance in the English catalog.

This excellent and generous (31 Cds)reissue of recording by the great Lili Kraus, originally issued on Lps and 78 records, issued on the Ducretet Thomson, Parlophone and Les discophile Francais labels through the 1930s and 50s. Most of them were considered in their day as classics and "must haves" by music lovers, especially the Mozart ans Beethoven piano and violin sonatas in which Lili Kraus was partnered by Willi Boskovsky and Simon Goldberg, this collection offers also works by Haydn,Schubert, Chopin and, most preciously, Bartok with whom Lili Kraus had studied and from whom she . .

Agnelle Bundervoet's ability to perform the Bach's piano repertoire, to the most difficult contemporary works equally brilliantly, earned her the admiration of the critics and also pianists as eminent as Yvonne Lefébure. She played with Paul Paray, Eugène Bigot, Pierre-Michel Le Conte, Charles Brück. Each concert was a triumph. After one, a critic who never had anything good to say about anyone raved about her in the press and arranged to meet her. He introduced himself as the director of Ducretet-Thomson and expressed his deep admiration. The label was eventually became part of London Records. Chante Charles Aznavour, vol. 2 is a 1955 album by Charles Aznavour. It was the second of three similarly titled 10" vinyl LPs for Ducretet-Thomson at the very beginning of the Charles Aznavour discography, his previous recordings having been on the first issue in a series of, eventually, six EPs 1954-1956.
