Old Gray - Demo flac album

There really isn’t all that much to say about Old Gray aside from the fact that they’re incredibly talented. Hailing from the Northeast United States, this four man band recorded a four song demo over two days. In its short play time it’s reminiscent of 90’s emo, and also incorporates a bit of math rock. Old Gray’s sound crosses bouncy guitars with that math rock influence found in the first two tracks.

Old Gray was an American emo band from Hooksett and Auburn, New Hampshire. Old Gray began in 2011. The band was formed by Cameron Boucher, Charlie Singer, Zane McDaniel, and Raphael Bastek. In 2013, Boucher would form punk band Sorority Noise in which would later feature Singer. Due the prominent rise in popularity of Sorority Noise, Old Gray would often have to take long periods of inactivity aside for some one-off shows.

Old Gray was founded in 2011 by Cameron Boucher, Charlie Singer, Zane McDaniel, and Raphael Bastek. Inspired by post-hardcore bands of the ‘90s and '00s, Old Gray began playing in the East Coast underground circuit. In 2013, Boucher founded the seminal emo revival band Sorority Noise. Sorority Noise gained national popularity with their 2014 debut album, and Old Gray was pushed to the side. The album mixed tense, introspective spoken word pieces with furious, anguished screamo music. However, Old Gray went mostly unnoticed due to the band member’s focus on Sorority Noise. When Sorority Noise announced their hiatus in 2018, Old Gray announced that they, too, would be breaking up, and helped support Sorority Noise on their last few shows. Popular Old Gray songs.
