Ty Segall is the self-titled debut studio album by American garage rock musician Ty Segall, released on December 9, 2008 on Castle Face Records. Local garage rock musician John Dwyer, of Thee Oh Sees and Coachwhips, offered to release Ty Segall on his label, Castle Face Records.

Ty Segall Band, Motörhead/Paranoid 7-inch (Drag City, 2014) There’s no record of Lemmy and Ozzy ever having a meeting and melding of minds with this particular San Franciscan, which is a damn shame. Undeterred, Paranoid slashes and slings down enough power chords to make a run for the latter’s likely saved spot in Heaven’s supergroup. 51. Ty Segall is the ninth studio album by American garage rock musician Ty Segall, released on January 27, 2017 on Drag City Records. Recorded with engineer Steve Albini, it is Segall's second self-titled studio album, following the release of his debut in 2008. Preceded by the single, "Orange Color Queen", the album was recorded with a full backing band, consisting of regular collaborators, Mikal Cronin (bass), Charles Moothart (drums) and Emmett Kelly (guitar), alongside Ben Boye (piano)

Ty keeps us guessing while splashing our collective face with no shortage of astringent tunes of all colors.

American garage rock musician Ty Segall has released nine studio albums, one live album, three compilation albums, three extended plays (EPs), nineteen singles, and twelve music videos. He has also recorded as a member of various other bands. Horn the Unicorn (Original Release) – Cassette (2008; Wizard Mountain). Halfnonagon (split with Superstitions) – Cassette (2008; Wizard Mountain).

Ty Segall (2008) With 12 tracks clocking in at just over 24 minutes, Segall’s first self-titled album, which was shepherded by fellow Bay Area rocker John Dwyer of The Oh Sees, is exactly what it should be: a sonic snapshot of a soon-to-be monster in embryonic form. Ty Segall is a lo-fi jumble of yelps and hiss and choppy guitar chords that show promise, but are clearly still proto-Ty. Ty Segall put those worries to rest with a powerful, diverse pack of tunes that offered a reminder of Segall’s prowess as a pure guitar-rocker with a bottomless closet of melodies. It’s as if the prodigal garage-rock son went off on a spiritual journey to experience new things and make new sounds, and this-a second self-titled album, not coincidentally- is his return to the top of the mountain.
