The Renegades - The Renegades Story flac album

Renegades is the fourth studio album by American rock band Rage Against the Machine (RATM), released on December 5, 2000 by Epic Records, almost two months after their breakup. The album consists of covers of songs by artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Minor Threat, Eric B. & Rakim, EPMD, MC5, The Rolling Stones, Cypress Hill, and Devo.

The Renegades story begins during the early 1960s in Perry Barr, Birmingham where the band was formed. The line-up consisted of Kim Brown (lead vocal), Denys "Denny" Gibson (guitar), Ian Mallett (bass guitar) and Graham Johnson (drums). They were one of the fourteen young bands to be featured on David Gooch's 1964 'Brum Beat' album promoting the local groups. The Renegades recorded their own arrangement of Liszt's 'Hungarian Rhapsody' - re-naming it 'Hungarian Mod' for the DIAL Brum Beat LP release
