Charlie Poole (March 22, 1892 - May 21, 1931) was an American old time banjo player, singer, country musician and the leader of the North Carolina Ramblers, a banjo-guitar-fiddle string band that recorded many popular songs between 1925 and 1931. He learned banjo as a youth. Poole also played baseball, and his three-fingered playing technique was the result of a baseball accident. He bet that he could catch a baseball without a glove.

A Charlie Poole Tribute was held at the Reynolds Homestead in Critz, VA on Sunday, April 13, 2014. This was part of the American Music Concert Series held annually at Reynolds Homestead. Kinney Rorrer and the New North Carolina Ramblers presented an outstanding afternoon of Charlie Poole music and history. The New North Carolina Ramblers in this video consists of Kinney Rorrer on banjo, Doug Rorrer on guitar, and Tim Martin on fiddle.
