Chicago bandleader and flugelhorn player Warren Kime apparently left a demo tape with Command in New York, and the "Brass Choir" concept was born. Essentially, the sound is a blend of the basic Command "all-star" session men, the mod brass sound, and the voices of three "girls," one of whom is Kime's wife. The mixture of "wordless chorus" with the mod brass sound, an update of the music of Esquivel and Bob Thompson, is not unique to the Warren Kime albums. Most other instances, however, including some involving Bob Thompson as producer, do not live.

Each also had, in addition to brass and woodwinds, modern rhythm and even the "wordless choruses" associated with Esquivel and Bob Thompson.
