How does one remix a modern folk song? Well, if you're Goldfrapp, and the song is A&E, it's no problem. Maps takes the song to post-rock church, filling the rafters with layers of sound. Gui Boratto, however, takes it out to the dance floor to work it out, transposing the vocals into a minor setting and yet staying dreamy in its new techno surroundings. Hercules and Love Affair, on the other hand, work their spare magic on the track, throwing in everything but the backless dress.
