American singer, songwriter and producer, born May 3, 1948 in Waco, Texas. Best known for writing and recording "When God Ran", the longest running number one song in Contemporary Christian Music history and "Nobody Knows Me Like You", the first CCM song to break the Billboard Top 50 Adult Contemporary Chart. He also produced the television series Roundhouse.

Benny Hester is a Contemporary Christian music artist and songwriter. He is best known for his chart-topping songs, "When God Ran" and top 40 crossover hit "Nobody Knows Me Like You". Benny has written, and recorded, more than twenty number one and top ten songs. Born in Waco, Texas, Hester moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he formed a jingle advertising company named MusAd. While in Las Vegas, Hester met now renowned music producer Brent Maher. Maher went on to produce Hester's first album, the self titled, Benn. .

Hester's first album was never released. Only a few albums survived the fire, ending up in the hands of collectors. A digitally remastered version was released on February 19, 2016, made from the artists own promotional copy of the original vinyl. Benny Hester and record producer Howard Benson prepared the first Roundhouse Cast album for release on Irving Azoff's Giant Records (Warner Music Group). The Irving Azoff/Giant Records album masters contained six Roundhouse Cable Ace nominated tunes, including the Hester/Sheffield penned Cable Ace winner "I Can Dream". Nickelodeon exercised its 50% approval right by blocking the first of four Roundhouse cast albums, which included five solo artist spinoff options.
